While it might not be much of a deal, Amazon currently has fresh DualShock 3 controllers listed at $50 (pre-order only, of course). From the looks of the webpage, the deal looks permanent, at least, until pre-orders end (MSRP is $54.99). The Sixaxis has been cut down to about $44, so we have the ability to assume they’re trying to create a hierarchy of controllers. A fiefdom, if we may. Anyway, if you’re looking for a DualShock 3 pre-order, this is probably good news for you.

Remember that story we ran a few days ago about the PS3 tattoo? Well apparently, that wasn’t the first. That honor goes to SCEE employee Omar Siu who said he got his “This is Living” art piece (as seen above) on Decemeber 22, 2007. Undoubtedly, both Omar’s and Mobiletone’s tattoos are equally fanboyish and are full of win. We salute you guys!
Omar isn’t the only one who sent in photos of PS-themed tattoos, Marc Blair also shared his tattoo of a wired Dualshock controller. Technically not PS3, but still awesome nonetheless. While we love these PS3 inspired artworks, won’t someone please send in a Blu-ray inspired tattoo?! You know, to commemorate Blu-ray winning over HD DVD. Anyway we might not get those Blu-ray tats, so just have a look at Marc’s skin art and another pic of Omar’s tattoo after the break.

Is Namco Bandi trying to tell us something here with these Soul Calibur IV box arts? Is the PS3 the evil side and the Xbox 360 the good side? Who cares, they both look extraordinary. It works out really nicely too. Having Darth Vader accompanied by Nightmare and Ivy who are a couple of the evil characters from the game matches nicely on the normally black system. The same goes for Yoda who’s accompanied by Siegfried and newcomer Hilde as the light characters on the normally white system.
The box arts have popped up on GameStop’s Web site but it isn’t known for sure if these are the final versions. Hopefully it is as they’re both fantastic. Plus, they’re pretty similar to Soul Calibur 2’s box art variations so these could very well be the final versions, hopefully.
So the only question left to ask is which version are you getting: Sith or Jedi?

Well here’s a first — I’ve totally nothing to say about this week’s Rock Band downloadable content selections. So maybe I’m revealing to you guys how completely out of touch I’m, or what an old fart I’ve actually become, but I’ve never heard any of these songs. Two of the bands, I’ve never even heard of, either.

There’s card games like Culdcept Saga where you’ve to play to earn the cards, and others like Eye of Judgment where you must go out and buy them. If card-based videogames are your thing, but buying and sorting through packs isn’t, then you’ll be interested in the Complete Disc for Eye of Judgement.
Sony will release this Eye of Judgment: Complete Disk in Japan soon. The disk contains 300 cards, which Siliconera states translates into one card from each of the three 100 card sets. It’s not clear if this package actually comes with 300 cards; it may just be the card data for in-game use.
I so want to rock Eye of Judgment with all of the cards. Having all of them would win me over. Really, having to purchase cards seperately was a turn-off, so I hope that the US will see some kind of similar release.

“Do you still own a Dreamcast?” asks dreamcast.com. By all appearances, the supposed official site of Sega’s cherished console has received a legitimate update, exciting loyalists that have been expecting the system’s 10-year anniversary later this year. By clicking on the question, visitors are prompted to accept a user agreement for an @user.dreamcast.com email account (apparently tied to Gmail). Applicants must supply a console serial number, email address, and password before being granted a [serial number]@dreamcast.com Gmail address.
The thing is … Sega no longer owns dreamcast.com. Oh dear. While we’ve yet to obtain an English language statement from Sega, Japanese news site Mainichi has confirmed that dreamcast.com is no longer owned by Sega and is using the official Dreamcast and company logos illegally. Additionally, the current dreamcast.com domain registration information is also fraudulent. Engadget Japanese reached out to Sega for further clarification, and a representative stated that Sega is considering “appropriate measures.” As we wait for further information, please (please!) don’t submit any personal information to dreamcast.com. You’ve been warned.
