This morning, while posting about the new Rock Band patch and the addition of an in-game Music Store, we were in an extreme excitement frenzy. So much so that we overlooked Harmonix’s other news regarding Rock Band DLC and how uber popular it has been, distributing (to date) 6 million downloads. 6 million! And if you recall, back in January MTV and Harmonix were trumpeting their horn when they announced sales of 2.5 million DLC downloads. Knowing that, in two months time gamers have bought an additional 3.5 million tracks. Yeah, it’s safe to state that the music industry has another revenue source.
