When the trailer for GRID was released, some of us immediately became excited over what appeared to be a Gran Turismo-like game, with Burnout influences. Much like Codemaster’s hit game DiRT before it, GRID shows that the guys know a thing or two about hitting us with that much-needed eye candy that we’ve come to associate with racing games. Seeing those highly detailed cars flipping over and spinning out left me feeling all giddy inside. Racing is all about winning, but it has always been the crashes that drew the most excitement (in games, anyway).

For those of us who have been following the N+ developer debacle, this newest interview will hold some new information to absorb. If you couldn’t care less, then all you need to know is that the creators of N+ are at work on a new game tentatively called Robotology. The game is a 2D physics-based platformer with grappling hooks and articulated/simulated robots walking around. The graphics are to be similar to N+ in terms of style, but more complex overall, and with all plans currently open to change. No platform has yet been announced for Robotology.

For those interested in the state of XBLA, the Metanet guys open up a bit more about their point of view. There’s also plenty of question’s concerning the development of N+ and fans of the game should find some of the questions rather interesting (ever wonder why your game might not always save?)

Responding to a thread on the official Epic Games forums regarding a rumored Might release for the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament III, Epic’s Mark Rein responded that no release date has been set. Rein noted that the Xbox 360 version would be featured for press at Midway’s upcoming Gamers Day event in Las Vegas. Rein shut off his statements letting fans know that the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament III was, “coming along really nicely.” Let’s just hope this version strikes a chord with fans at retail.

World wide web phenomenon Rooster Teeth, creators of the hit series Red vs. Blue: The Blood Gulch Chronicles, have announced a new series titled Red vs. Blue: Reconstruction. The only information available on the new series is the release of a teaser trailer that appears to change the focus of the RT group from comedy to suspense. However, when the nature of the Halo 3-set series was questioned in the teaser’s comments Rooster Teeth front-man Burnie Burns told fans, “Don’t let appearances fool you.”

The teaser follows two recovery agents at Outpost 17-B “Valhalla” as they sweep a barricaded base after a suspected incident. A voice-over reads a letter from the director of Project Freelancer in respect to a request made from the chairman of the Oversight Sub-committee for an investigation into the Outpost’s deserted status. We don’t want to ruin the entire trailer but let’s just say that Reconstruction has definitely piqued our interest.

After hearing about Saints Row 2 getting an August release and at the same time only receiving a not teaserific teaser trailer, we went searching for some actual Saints Row 2 gameplay videos. You know, to see how things are progressing over at THQ. And after our lil’ search concluded, we came across three Saints Row 2 video gems. Videos that give us a glimpse at the game’s gameplay and showcase some of the game’s features all through street lessons taught by that “interesting” dude Gary Busey. No joke, it’s the one and only Gary Busey. We’ll let the videos talk for themselves (one embedded above, two after the break), but be prepared. The Saints Row 2 gameplay is promising, but Uncle Gary is (how do we put this nicely) … moderately crazy?
