Sure, Darth Vader has been a playable character in games prior to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Let’s not forget that PS3 owners will have the opportunity to control him even before The Force Unleashed is released, by picking up Soul Calibur IV this Summer.
But, when was the last time you got to massacre Wookies with the Sith Lord himself by using his plethora of Force powers? Though it may only be for the first level of the game, you’ll be able to do just that come this September.
Every new screen, trailer, and bit of info surrounding The Force Unleashed has me salivating over the game. I’m already sold on the concept, so please, LucasArts, keep the content coming!

Maybe. It seemed like this hard-to-kill topic continuously came up until 2K officially killed it. Now it might be true for BioShock’s sequel.
A current job advertisement from 2K Marin asks for a senior designer on BioShock 2, and they specifically request Playstation3 experience in the listed stipulations.
Experience working with recent generation game console technology (Xbox, Xbox360, PlayStation2 or PlayStation3) and Playstation3 experience is required.
We’ll concur with Videogamer that this job ad is far from a BioShock 2 PS3 confirmation, but it definitely lets us know what the company is considering.
And, while we’re drawing conclusions, the same ad requests “Unreal Engine 3 experience.” Hmmm.
What do you think? Will the rumors actually pan out with this sequel?

THQ’s snarky, irritable alien invader Crypto is finally hitting the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall in Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon. I had my first chance to catch a sneak peek at the game last week at THQ’s Gamer’s day, and it’s shaping up to look like, well, other Destroy All Humans! titles.

[Update: Added blurry camera pics]
As is often the case with video game news, a sharp-eyed forum-goer brings us this story. Over at NeoGAF, a poster with the latest issue of Game Informer has been relating some of the Gears 2 info contained within. There’s a ton of information, most of which is new (and from the sound of it) awesome. There’s only part of the story on the web at NeoGAF, and we’ll only list some of the better sounding stuff here, so be sure to purchase the magazine if you want the full scoop.
- “We have creatures that make the Brumak look like a baby panda bear.” -Cliff Bleszinski
- “We hear hints of all sorts of new multiplayer features, from dramatically expanded co-op modes to multiplayer content that takes advantage of Unreal’s new capability to deliver big numbers of the Locust horde at one time, but confirmed details will have to wait until a later date.”
- Different difficulty settings for each player in co-op. One person can play on Hardcore, one on Casual.
- COG Centaur Tank (Monster Truck + Tank) There’s a dedicated level where you get to pilot one.
- Drop in/drop out co-op, with a fourth, easier, difficulty.
- Forced walking scenes replaced with a dynamic conversation camera system (which is skippable).
- Hundreds of Locust troops, all acting independently.
- “Gorgon burst pistol and poison grenades, both of which can become part of your arsenal if you play your cards right”
If you’re interested in a few more tidbits, they’re after the break, otherwise buy the magazine for all the details.

You might be asking yourself, “what’s with the headline?” Well, what more is there to state about these screens of the upcoming Incredible Hulk movie-game other than The Hulk is in them. They don’t look especially good and considering the team that brought us Ultimate Destruction is busy doing their own thing and back catalog of developer Edge of Reality consists of the Over the Hedge and Shark Tale game adaptations, we’re definitely sticking with the comment that these screens have The Hulk in them. ‘Nuff said.

We’re sure some of you’re probably starting to think that the longtime announced, yet detail sparse Alan Wake has become vaporware by now. True, a 2008 release has been confirmed, but where are the informative bits and the massive media blowout? Well, according to a “Super Moderator” over on the official Alan Wake forums, all of our Alan Wake curiosities shall be fulfilled. Super mod Morry popped in a forum discussion about the lack of Alan Wake news in 2008 saying “Patience. The media “blackout” won’t continue for too much longer.” Hopefully our patience will hold strong, because we want to see what Remedy has created and we want to see now.

Looking for a good way to plan Call of Duty 4 strategies while you’re away from your Xbox 360? Our sister site Xbox 360 Fanboy has put together a 5 1/2-minute walkthrough of the new Variety Map Pack, which includes Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek and Killhouse.
As for the future of the Variety Map Pack, Infinity Ward blogger extraordinaire Fourzerotwo has commented on his blog that the dev is now focusing on bringing the maps to the PlayStation 3 and PC. No specifics for the PC version, but the PS3 maps are due out at the end of April. %Gallery-19521%

A scene from the superb rpg Chrono Cross. It is revealed late in the game that Kid was in fact raised in an orphanage owned by the scientific genius of Chrono Trigger, Lucca. It is also revealed that Kid is in fact the daughter-clone of Schala. During the fall of Zeal, Schala was thrown into Lavos’s dimension. She became one with the alien parasite, and in the wake of its defeat became…
