We’d like to blame other activities peripheral to Joystiq for the delay in Weekly Webcomic Wrapup (for this writer, it’s academia), but really, it’s Facebook Chat’s fault. Note the chart above for proof (yes, infallible proof we say, with tongue, as always, firmly in cheek). Here are our picks for the week’s best game-related webcomics; polling after the break.

Just a couple of more days until Grand Theft Auto IV is finally released, boys and girls! You’re probably noticing many sites giving their reviews of the game and releasing a ton of new media. I don’t know about you, but I’m avoiding all of that stuff like I would avoid a girl’s yeast infection by going in her rear.

One thing I don’t mind seeing now, though, is a bird’s-eye view of Liberty City. The amount of detail and the draw distance is simply incredible. I did notice a couple of small pop-ins in a few spots in the video. I’ve been hearing blended things on the pop-in issue, with some saying it’s horrible and some saying they’ve no major issues with it (in regards to the Xbox 360 version). Guess we won’t know for sure how bad it is until it’s released Tuesday.

G4 has a few new videos out showing off some of the things you can do in the game, which you can check out on G4’s site. X-Play will also have a one-hour special dedicated to all things GTA IV at 8 PM Eastern tomorrow. I will miss all of this because I’ll be going into hiding until Tuesday at midnight.

Heres the second video I promised. This one looks like its better quality and its a bit longer. still driving isnt the best because automobiles are very sensitive and suck at handling.

Remember earlier last month when we revealed the rumored Grand Theft Auto IV accomplishment list? Looks like they were legit after all. Considering some people have got their hands on the title, Xbox.com has updated the game page with the official accomplishment list.

A good mix of single and multiplayer points comprise the entire 1000 point list. From simple tasks like getting off the boat (completing the first mission) to taking a Rockstar developer out on the internet, this is one accomplishment list that was built to last.

With only a few days between us and GTAIV, we can’t wait to stop speaking about it and actually play it! See you on the internet.

[Thanks, JAmerican]

Not looking forward to the second or third series because they just live up to the scale or collectibility you yearn for? Well then, good news for you, because McFarlane comprehends your prima donna needs.

Releasing this November will be a set of three non-articulated, six inch Legendary Halo 3 figures including a Flood swarmed Master Chief, a rock balancing Arbiter and an angry Brute Chieftan. Available this September with eighteen points of articulation, twenty-six moving parts and coming in at a full twelve inches tall are a green Master Chief and a Wal-mart exclusive Blue Spartan. Get ready fanboys, because this day at around 12 noon eastern time the Grand Theft Auto IV review embargo will be lifted as numerous gaming sites publish their official reviews of GTAIV. Not that we don’t already know that the game will kick a bunch of bum. As of this posting, GTAIV is sitting a solid 100 average on metacritic after four reviews from sites like IGN and OXM UK, so it’ll be interesting to see how the average moves as the day goes on. Keep your eye on the GTAIV metacritic site, put on your reading glasses and get comfy, because a wall of review text is coming. The other option is to visually take in GTAIV by Googling your way to some leaked GTAIV gameplay videos. That’s always fun …
