The United Says Postal Service delivered a mysterious package to my door today, return address Forest Hill, London (with postage on the package stating it was sent from New York City). Concerned for my safety (everyone’s a terrorist these days), I carefully opened the package to find the following:
A one-kilo brick of Nazi gold (heavy, but a replica), two stickers, and a letter in German.
Putting two and two together, this is obviously some sort of tie in with Replay Studios’ stealth action title, Velvet Assassin. Last month, the devs accidentally slipped some info to me about a real life tie-in where gamers could find bars of Nazi gold outside of the game. Perhaps this is only the beginning?

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon will mark the 10th anniversary for the Spyro the Dragon series. Hard to believe it has been ten years already. I still remember when the game first came out for the PlayStation 1. Everyone thought it was just another Mario wannabe, but as it turned out, it was a fantastic game.
Here we are now, after ten years and over a dozen games in the series. You’d think by now it would get really stale, but as it turns out, this may become one of the best Spyro in the series to date.
Hit the jump for my full impressions.

Well, a good section of the game was finally shown off to me and I’m here to tell you all about it. So how’s New York City doing with a man that has the powers of a God and a city that has been exposed to some kind of virus? Hit the jump to find out.

I saw Imabikisou (above) in Tokyo last year. With its freaky photos and eyeball closeups, I thought I had stumbled onto the newest survival horror. Unfortunately it turned out to be a digital graphic horror novel. Meh.
Here’s how Imabikisou works: you pick up a controller, read a screen of text with a scary background while scary sounds play, hit a button, and read another screen of text with a scary background while scary sounds play. No wonder it was never on your radar, right? Now it can be off your radar on another console: the Wii. Siliconera tells us that Chunsoft’s PS3 title will make the transition to Wii as Imabikisou Kaimeihen, and it will come with revised controls and Wii Remote speaker noises.

Who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS! People dropped a brick when they heard that a Ghostbusters game was officially in the works. Not much has been shown off until this past month, when Sierra invited me out to get a firsthand look at how Ghostbusters is shaping up.

Well for those who got their hopes up about purchasing a Ninja Gaiden themed Elite 360, those hopes have now been officially crushed. The previously non-existent website from the standee is now live and ready for folks to enter the contest. The “Are You a Ninja?” sweepstakes runs for a month, ending May 29th, and is only open to US residents. The grand prize is of course the Elite 360, but the runners-up get some cool swag too: a copy of the game, some rubber ninja stars, two rubber swords, and a fake ninja outfit. Wait did we say cool swag? We meant stupid swag (the game itself notwithstanding).
Anyway it’s worth entering just for the chance at one of those custom 360’s, even if we’ve gotta give Gamestop traffic for it. The sweepstakes entry form is located here, and official rules here.
