Ready for round number three of the Microsoft Gamers Day 2008 leaks? Great! Thanks for being a sport. According to that same Microsoft press set that accidently posted all the MGD08 categories a bit early also posted two mysterious categories for games we haven’t heard of. The two games in question are labeled as “Lips” and “Ninja Blade” … so what could they be? No, really, we don’t know. We’re completely clueless and asking you your opinion on what they could be. Heck, we’ll even start the guessing fun.

We guess that “Lips” will turn out being an XBLA game where players administer beauty enhancing lip injections to plump up the lips of insecure, wannabe actors. And for “Ninja Blade”, it’s a simulation game where you’ve a blade, named Ninja, who you treat like a pet dog. Now it’s your turn to guess … get to it!

Not to be outdone by its more innovative brother Rock Band, Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith revealed the Guitar Hero franchise has recently surpassed 15 million individual song downloads. The announcement was made during a recent earnings call where Activision also revealed future plans of the Tony Hawk, Call of Duty and James Bond licenses.

Viacom, owner of Harmonix, recently announced Rock Band has reached the 10 million song download mark.

It’s notable that the Guitar Hero announcement seems to relate to both Guitar Hero II (Xbox 360) and Guitar Hero III (Xbox 360 and PS3) downloads while the Rock Band announcement appears to be a combination of Xbox 360 and PS3 on the internet sales. While Harmonix and Activision continue their urinating contest over numbers, we’ll just assume both are doing well in the content sales department for future reference.

The Microsoft Gamers Day 2008 leak (which all but confirmed Viva Pinata and Scene It? sequels) continues to give us leaky goods, this time in the form of more Banjo-Kazooie 3 screenshots.

Yesterday, we posted a rumor about two Banjo-Kazooie 3 screenshots making the web rounds and how we couldn’t be 100% sure they were real. We still can’t be 100% certain they’re legit (we’ll state 99.9% certain), but now thirteen more Banjo-Kazooie 3 screenshots have leaked their way online which has to say something. These newer screenshots come courtesy of a NeoGAF member who discovered them on a Microsoft owned press site that accidentally posted all of the MGD08 assets a few days early. We uploaded all fifteen leaked and still “alleged” Banjo-Kazooie 3 screenshots to the gallery below so you can look at the interesting characters, the abundance of cars and the game’s gorgeous lighting. It’s all yummy delicious! Expect to hear official news and an official asset release sometime mid-week.
