There’s a conspiracy brewing at GameRankings, I tells ya … a conspiracy! We’ve received reports that the Weekly Webcomic Wrapup has been knocked from the top spot for “All-Time Ideal Periodical Game-Related Webcomic Compilation Post,” shooting down to number 3 behind … erm … other periodical game-related webcomic compilation posts.

Word on the street is that Tim Harding of 2P Start had changed his score of us from a 9.9 to a 9.0 after changing his scoring metric, prompting the error. But really, truly and honestly, it all had to do with some WWW-hating bias buried deep within the halls of GameRankings, wanting to see us crushed and buried among the top 3 denizens. Well, thank heavens the community rallied behind this injustice to keep the old score, because #3 all-time ideal periodical game-related webcomic compilation post would invalidate all the joy we’ve had with this feature.

Here are our picks for the week’s best game-related webcomic, be sure to vote for your favorite! (Voting after the break.)

idspispopd (Slef Improvement)

Grand Theft Art Imitating Life (HijiNKS Ensue)

My friend and I decided to video tape ourselves playing Super Mario 3 for the NES when we discovered… WE SUCK. Here’s a random montage of us failing epically. *Sorry for the bad camera work. If we do this again we’ll make sure to set the camera down somewhere rather than holding it. :D

We’ve a public service announcement for future twelve month Xbox Live subscription purchasers in the United States. A while back, we mentioned that with the new Xbox Live card re-design the twelve month subscription mysteriously lost its free month, because it made no mention of the offer that was prominently featured on the old packaging. Well, we soon discovered that even though the new packaging didn’t mention the free month, it was in fact there when purchasers redeemed the code. So, Microsoft being the helpful folks they’re, they started adding mini stickers to the twelve month Live subscription packaging telling of the extra free month. Now, more recently, they went one step further, getting rid of the sticker and actually adding the 12+1 verbiage to the insert packaging itself. Convenient.

So, what’s the point of this public service announcement? Good question. There really isn’t a deep meaning to this PSA other then the fact that no matter which Xbox Live 12 month subscription you buy (old packaging, new packaging with sticker or new packaging with insert), they ALL include a free month of Live. Thank you.
