Zero Punctuation discovers The World Ends With You this week. This sudden realization has caused him to send his vast internet army to your house and kill you. Really! Run!

Actually, The World Ends With You is a JRPG that’s been getting some strongly supportive reviews from several outlets that do that reviewing sort of thing. As any disciple of Yahtzee knows at this point, he hates JRPGs and Nintendo — the jury is still out though on which one he hates more. TWEWY gets off simple in this review by confusing Yahtzee to the point where he can’t form an opinion and leaves it up to the audience.

Find this week’s NSFW ZP review of another Japanese game with children who have gravity defying hair after the break.

GameTap is shutting down its relatively new editorial department and the entire staff has been given a couple of weeks notice. GameDaily reports that GameTap’s Read and Watch sections, which are less than a year old, had a strong stable of veteran industry writers, but those sections will now be dismantled and integrated into the site’s actual game pages.

GameTap VP Rick Sanchez writes on the community boards that the service has been happy with the editorial team, but has decided to focus on the company’s main business, which is its game catalog. Details are still lacking about what the new vision for GameTap is, but being an all-purpose mega-site with games and news to rival Gamespot or IGN is obviously not it.

Update: We’ve put GameTap’s official statement on this issue after the break.

Ever since Pilot Wings for the Super Nintendo, I have always adored the flying games. The genre, as of late has been rather stale sadly. Not much is out there, and it’s only once in a blue moon that we see something decent come out.

For the longest time now, everyone has held the Ace Combat series in high regards as one of the best flight sim out there. That’s going to change after Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X comes out. To put it simply, this game is unbelievable. This is the exact type of game flying fanatics have been waiting for and I can’t believe it’s taken this long for this type of flight game to be made. Hit the jump to find out all about H.A.W.X.

A choose group of 10,000 PS3 users had the chance to give Sony’s new PlayStation Media and Events Space a test run. They were able to use their console to experience a current PlayStation Day from the comfort of their home, via the magic of the internets.

This test run gave virtual attendees VIP access to the Space, which was decorated with items from the real PlayStation Day, originally held on Might 6th in London. This included the branding and artwork from each of the day’s PlayStation zones, according to Gamesdog.

They were able to walk through the space, look at pictures of games, view video of speeches on a “jumbo screen,” and stream video of the whole event.

Welcome back to the Far Cry universe. This time, instead of islands filled with mercenaries and weird genetic experiments, we’re given 50 square kilometers of open African Savanna to explore.

Far Cry 2 brings with it a lot of new changes to the series that’s separating itself from the original game. In fact, Far Cry 2 has no relationship with Far Cry 1 at all, in terms of story. Another thing to note before you read on is that Far Cry 2 isn’t using the Crysis engine, as the Far Cry series belongs to Ubisoft now.

Hit the jump to hear about the new weapon mechanics, the burnable environments and the new Buddy system.
