“Oh great, another snowboarding game. Whoa, wait a second. This snowboarding game actually looks good!”
That’s pretty much what went through my head when Ubisoft showed off Shaun White Snowboarding during Ubidays in San Francisco a few weeks ago. Ubisoft is trying to do something completely knew with this genre and thanks to the help of Shaun White, it looks like they have a solid title here.

It seems it’s been a trend lately for XBLA games to release in pairs and while we were a bit less than thrilled with this week’s releases, next week does look superior. In addition to Roogoo, June 4 will also see the release of the co-op space shooter Aces of the Galaxy. Little to nothing has been revealed about the game so far but XBLA thankfully gives us trial versions, and the graphics and co-op play give us more than enough reason to give it try. From what we have the ability to infer the game could be worth its 800pt price tag, we just wish Artech had gotten more out there about it.

After the demo news disappeared from the game’s official site, many of us were worried that there would be no Ninja Gaiden 2 demo at all. Fortunately the demo does exist, and it should be on the web shortly. In Japan. Only.
Now we know that the 360 is no large success in the East, so why not just release the demo everywhere at once? No one knows. Posting on NeoGAF, Chris Paladino (Hi Chris!) of Gamerscore blog confirmed that the demo would be hitting in Japan, and that there would be a demo release in the other territories “soon”. Whether the demo would have helped sales of the game pre-launch or not is going to be a moot point soon. Microsoft superior get it on the web!

Being knee-deep in huge news yesterday blinded us to the fact that Rockstar Games has finally updated their Social Club page to include multiplayer stats.
Now, criminal masterminds in Grand Theft Auto IV can hit the website and check out detailed leaderboards and statistis for the each of the 14 basic multiplayer modes.
While some bugs are still being ironed out, the Social Club update is an important step to growning the GTAIV community as it awaits news on the highly anticipated downloadable content, exclusively coming to Xbox Live Marketplace this fall.
Now, go back to vehicle jacking. It’s been like 7-seconds since I heard a siren.

Tipsters are going mad! Mad we tell ya! Today Ubisoft has been shooting off emails to registered users inviting them to register for a chance to beta test Tom Clancy’s EndWar. The Xbox 360 exclusive open beta is scheduled to run for three weeks between June and July and allow users to the real-time strategy game on the web in 1v1 or 2v2 matches across three multiplayer maps.
Registration is now open for the open beta and Ubisoft reminds registrants that this is an actual beta and bugs are probably going to occur. Oh and remember children, you need an Xbox Live Gold account, at least 3GB of free hard drive space (a bag full-o-memory cards won’t do!) and a pocket full of hopes and dreams to get into the beta that’s sure to fill up fast. If you’re lucky enough to be selected for the beta you will be notified by Ubisoft at a later time.
[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

The X3F Week in Review returns once again, chock-full of the latest news and community features (seriously, we checked our chock, and that sucker is full). We’ve hit our 70th Xbox 360 Fancast, which is pretty incredible. Even more astonishing is the awesome Commander Shepard statue we’re giving away this week. Perhaps even more awesome than that are the 100 codes for the Bad Company demo that we’re giving away. Win a code now and play the demo a full week before it’s available to the public. Find this and more in the links below.

Those crazy cats at Gamerscore Blog are at it again. This time they’ve set their sights on the upcoming Ninja Gaiden II. It seems that Ryu Hayabusa, main character of the Ninja Gaiden series and all-around badass, has given up his ninja way of life in favor of a cushy job at Microsoft. At least, we think he has a job there. The trouble is that no one at the Gamerscore Blog office can seem to find him and believe him to be a lazy bum. Of course, we know Ryu superior than that. Looks like they’ll have to learn the hard way though. Check out the video to see just how dangerous it is to meddle with a ninja.

Bungie has
announced the latest
Halo 3 Double EXP Weekend and it is … Legendary Brawl! Just what the heck is Legendary Brawl, you ask? It’s a 12 man free-for-all death fest, that’s what it is. But wait, there’s more! Not
only will Legendary Brawl award you double experience points this weekend, but it’s
ranked. As a big number of
Halo 3’s multiplayer achievements can only be earned in ranked free-for-all matches, this weekend marks the perfect chance to rack up some of the more difficult ones. Just makes sure you have the Legendary Map pack, as it’s required to access the Double EXP playlist.
The Double EXP weekend is already underway, so begin leveling up if you’re so inclined.

Ladies and gentlemen, begin your engines. A demo for NASCAR 09 has landed on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Weighing in at 598MB, the demo promises to let gamers “take on NASCAR’s biggest stars” on two of the game’s 22 tracks. NASCAR fans should check it out. Those out there who aren’t NASCAR should note that driving in excess of 100 miles per hour can get you arrested in real life, so you might as well give the demo a shot. Also, you can pretend you’re Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights.
