Earlier this morning, we were treated to a new Mirror’s Edge trailer full of informative story bits and all kinds of animated action. Sadly though, no actual in-game footage. But that’s where the release of NEW screenshots comes in and that’s exactly what we have. Gently added to the gallery below are four super fresh Mirror’s Edge screenshots depicting the game’s gorgeous environments, Faith’s pants and two screenshots are green! Yes, the game doesn’t only feature blue and orange prettiness, it does green too! Astonishing!

Rock legends, and Canadian Gods, Rush set a really good example for other rock icons — they fully embrace gaming. While no one in the band is copping to late night sessions of Halo 3, they do discuss the process of getting their music into Rock Band, specifically tracking down a lost cut of “Working Man” to be released exclusively as downloadable content. Unfortunately, there is still no word if the rumor that the 1978 classic track The Trees is included in Rock Band 2 is true …

While we generally operate on the principle that all rumors about Microsoft are true, we still get a thrill when we start to dig up real proof. What could be more thrilling than proof? How about a whole gallery of it? Our compatriots over at Joystiq have assembled just such a gallery, a veritable mosaic of “$299,” the supposed new price of the Xbox 360 Pro system. There are two things that can be concluded from the animated Mirror’s Edge trailer above. One, Mirror’s Edge sounds like a freaking awesome game. Two, somehow, before everything is stated and done, there will be a product tie-in with Esurance. You know, the (arguably annoying) commercials with that pink haired chick what sells the auto insurance? Yeah, those. Anyway, the trailer above is still flippin’ sweet and we are completely pumped to see the game for ourselves. To prepare to see the game …

When we first set eyes on The Maw we knew we were looking at something interesting and new. With a concept like “eat everything to change yourself and world, to get an alien home” it sounds like a winner. And now with some video to go with the idea, we’re almost sure it’s going to be a winner. Using some sort of electrical tether that looks similar to something seen in the newest Banjo trailer the player swings and grapples around the world while …

And, naturally, it was taken down. Thankfully, the web is always there to catch the truth. However briefly, a listing for Star Wars Battlefront III was up on Amazon announcing that the game was coming to every platform under the sun including our beloved Xbox 360. Amazon was offering the game for pre-order with a release date of March 15, 2009. Something tells us that date is probably a placeholder.
With Battlefront series creators Pandemic currently hard at work on Lord of the Rings: Conquest for their new bosses …

The web is all atwitter thanks to an IGN hosted video of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts that features Microsoft’s Ken Lobb mentioning that players will “twist the controller” to perform actions in the game. The video also featured Kazooie shaking her controller, which some took as a hint. Sorry to disappint, but motion control in Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts just isn’t so. We’ve received word from Gamerscore Blog’s Chris Paladino who told us “all of the motion controller hopes and complaints regarding the Banjo video on …
