We hope you weren’t excited by the supposed Guitar Hero World Tour set list that was ‘leaked’ yesterday. Activision and Red Octane have made it known that the list, which included artists like Tool and The Doors, is a fake. A representative informed Game Informer (see what we did there?) that while some of the songs on the list will make it into the game, namely Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher,” the majority of the list is “wishful thinking and pure speculation.”
But hey, we know it will have …

Has anyone been to Comic-Con 08 yet? I’d be there right now obsessing over the latest games, movies, and toys, if only there wasn’t that whole “being broke” thing.
I guess I’ll have to settle with reading up on the announcements that come out of the convention and possibly playing some videogames with my Dtoid brethren. Things could be far worse.
Besides needing a few good Xbox 360 hosts, we should be all set for this week’s Friday Night Fights. Will you step up to the challenge?
Hosts and time listings can …

I adore Wallace & Gromit. Unfortunately, after gallivanting through three incredible shorts and an Academy Award-winning feature film, the wacky inventor and his verbally-challenged dog companion starred in a few subpar videogames. They weren’t necessarily terrible, they just turned out as generic platformers, lacking not even half of the creativity and cleverness of the duo’s on-screen antics.
Luckily, Telltale Games — the makers of the recent, critically acclaimed Sam & Max games — are creating an episodic series based on Aardman Animation’s revered films entitled Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures.

Oh, Kaz. You say really silly things, and we love you for it.
His load of crap from this month relates to Xbox 360 exclusive titles. According to a recent interview, Kaz states that he would rather take a bullet to the head than pick up any of the the 360 exclusives.

This morning, Microsoft issued a fancy shmancy European press release announcing the official release date for Silicon Knights’ Too Human in Europe. The official release date is Friday, August 29th, which is only a week or so after the game hits retailers in North America. Now run along fanboys, go play the game demo and see for yourself if Mr. Denis Dyack deserves all the hating.

There were rumors floating around and now we can finally confirm the news. Splinter Cell: Conviction is delayed once again. Gasp!
In their just released first quarter fiscal report, Ubisoft made mention that Splinter Cell: Conviction is still alive (phew!) and that it has been delayed once again (aww, shucks) possibly into 2010 (wah?). According to Ubi, they’ve pushed back its release to “bolster the line-up for fiscal 2009-10″, meaning that the earliest we’ll see Sam Fisher and hear his new voice will be April 2009. We’ve made the …
