We have all heard of those sites that give you free stuff when you do offers for them, 50% of them don’t work and the other 50% do. I have found a site that actually does work, after receiving a ps3 from just completing a few dollar offers and referring some of my friends on msn, I received a ps3 in the mail. I already own a wii and a 360 so this ps3 completed my collection. If you want it to finish your collection or just cause you like playstations more here you go. Just sign up here  Free Ps3’s galore. The Doomaning announced screenshot

Earlier today, during the keynote address at this year’s QuakeCon, id CEO Todd Hollenshead announced that there will, in fact, be another Doom game. Presumably due to the game being way too early in development there weren’t any trailers or concept art to show attendees.

Hollenshead did give a swift rundown of features that we have the ability to expect to see, though, stating that “There will be guns, blood, demons, and gibs.” It might be something of a stretch, but I’m also predicting that players will be controlling a tough as nails space marine that will be using the guns to evoke blood sprays from the demons while simultaneously waxing poetic about the say of the environment.

The new Doom game will be using the same id Tech 5 engine as id’s other in-development FPS, Rage. According to John Carmack, though, we have the ability to anticipate it to “look like it’s built on another engine,” due to the new Doom using “three times the horsepower.”

While it was also announced that this will be a multiplatform release, Carmack was keen to stress that the “guns, blood, demons, and gibs” on the Computer version will be looking far superior than their console counterparts: “In other words, the PC version of the new Doom should look significantly superior than on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, whereas the console ports of Rage will be more or less the same visually.”

So, are you looking forward to some new graphically intensive “guns, blood, demons, and gibs?”

Zeno Clash brings forth more bizarre imagery screenshot

As some of you may remember, we’ve been posting coverage of a very bizarre looking source-powered first person Personal computer game known as Zeno Clash. As a fan of all things f*cked up, I really am interested in how this odd title is doing, and developer ACE Team were all kind to let us know.

“The development of the game is coming along nicely,” explains ACE Team. “We’re close to reaching Alpha status. The game is looking great, but we’re still working around some rough corners & adding more depth to the combat mechanics. We already have two boss sequences working; one that is built around shooting “things” that parachute (we don’t want to tell too much still) and the other fighting against heavy characters using bashing weapons. They’re both really fun to play and the new mechanics will add more variety to the gameplay.”

“The next trailer video will display some of these new features, but we’re still waiting for a higher level of polishment before we show them. So stay tuned for future updates!”

It’s been a while since I played something freaky, which is why I find Zeno Clash so appealing. Nice to know that a few developers are still offering something a bit more offbeat.

World Tour for PC screenshot

And here I thought that the ESRB database might have started to lose its luster as a place to sniff out unannounced games. I guess it isn’t going out of style yet, as a current inspection discovered that a Personal computer version had been added to the Guitar Hero: World Tour entry.

This might not be a massive shocker, as Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock had a PC version too, but it’s still reassuring news for gamers that might not have a console to rock out on. Maybe it’ll also get those fancy smancy third-party instruments Nick talked about earlier today.

While the folks at GameCyte made a few inquires to try and determine who was developing the Computer version, they hit a dead end when Activision refused to acknowledge its “not been announced yet” existence. My money would be on Aspyr Media, seeing as how they handled the aforementioned Computer version of Guitar Hero III.

Speaking of Guitar Hero III on the PC, for those of you that owned it, were there any particularly noteworthy mods or user generated content that we might anticipate to see for World Tour?

First episode of American McGee's Grimm is out now, free for a limited time screenshot

The debut episode of American McGee’s Grimm entitled “A Boy Learns What Fear Is” is available for download.

As with each of the other 23 game episodes, it will be free for the first 24 hours, otherwise you’ll need to have a subscription to GameTap or $3.99 (per episode).

Grimm has been split up into 3 volumes, each containing 8 episodes. If you decide to give the game a go and like what you find, there will be a new episode waiting for you every Thursday. Not a bad deal, huh?

You can download episode one by clicking here.
