It would almost be worth making a regular feature on the kinds of crazy antics that MMO players get up to. I don’t want to generalize, because there are a lot of sane MMO fans out there. So, while I’m not suggesting that all WoW players are psychos, one can’t deny that they make the ideal psychos.
Zhenghao Shen, 21, an Australian student and World of Warcraft player, has been charged with intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm after nearly cutting off his friend’s finger in a stabbing incident. He avoided theft charges because his victim wasn’t carrying any loot at the time of the stabbing.

Viral marketing is the way to go, and Bethesda has decided to play the oldest trick in the viral book — the “get your friends to click this link and unlock some JPEGs” trick. Yes, apparently if a mere three people follow your own personal link to a glorified Fallout 3 advert, you will get a bunch of Fallout-flavored desktop backgrounds. Woot.
It’s obvious, it’s blatant and nobody would ever go to that effort simply to get some free wallpapers. You’d have to be a real arsehole to fall for such shite.

Introversion’s latest indie gem, Multiwinia: Survival of the Flattest, has received a new demo complete with on the web multiplayer to go alongside the full game which is going for the sexy price of $9.99.
