Viral marketing is the way to go, and Bethesda has decided to play the oldest trick in the viral book — the “get your friends to click this link and unlock some JPEGs” trick. Yes, apparently if a mere three people follow your own personal link to a glorified Fallout 3 advert, you will get a bunch of Fallout-flavored desktop backgrounds. Woot.

It’s obvious, it’s blatant and nobody would ever go to that effort simply to get some free wallpapers. You’d have to be a real arsehole to fall for such shite.
