It looks like Namco Bandai, the North American publisher for Hellgate: London, will soon be taking the game off of life support. The publisher has announced that it will continue to run and support the game’s servers through January 31, 2009, at which point they’ll pull the plug. Finish. No more.

When GameStop wasn’t looking, Bethesda and Ideal Purchase have teamed up to rock Fallout 3 midnight launch events across the country. Events will take place in Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Chicago, with lines beginning to form at 3 P.M. on October 27 leading the game’s midnight release.

A little while back we posted up a trailer for BioShock 2 that was included after the conclusion of the PlayStation 3 version of BioShock. Tiny sisters and cute Massive Daddy dolls aside, there is the issue of what platform the sequel, subtitled Sea of Dreams, will be hitting first. A 2K representative was recently on-hand to tell Gamespot that the title will come out for the Computer, PS3, and Xbox 360, and that the trailer will be available in HD on PSN and Xbox Live Marketplace.

As I’m sure you will all remember, Spore was at the center of quite a fiasco last month when gamers, angry at EA’s continued use of the invasive DRM tool SecuROM, lashed out on Amazon, completely trashing it in reviews and giving it an insultingly low rating. Well, with Crysis Warhead coming out and packing that very same DRM, the chicanery is happening all over again.
