As I’m sure you’ll all remember, Spore was at the center of quite a fiasco last month when gamers, angry at EA’s continued use of the invasive DRM tool SecuROM, lashed out on Amazon, completely trashing it in reviews and giving it an insultingly low rating. Well, with Crysis Warhead coming out and packing that very same DRM, the chicanery is happening all over again.

I quite enjoyed the first installment in the Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness series, my only beef being that it wasn’t long enough (but good episodic content never feels long enough). PSN owners finally can get their hands on Episode One tomorrow, but for Xbox Live and PC/Mac/Linux users, we’ve an even superior surprise coming: Episode Two will be available this October 29th, just in time for Halloween!

Fuzzyeyes has finally gotten us a copy of its TGS trailer for steampunk action-adventure Edge of Twilight, and we’re naturally sharing it with you fine folks.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Fuzzyeyes to watch Edge of Twilight in action at the Tokyo Game Show, and as you can read from my Jimpressions, it’s well animated and surprisingly violent. One of the industry’s worst kept secrets has finally been confirmed. Today, LucasArts and BioWare announced the rumored Knights of the Old Republic MMO, and named it Star Wars: The Old Republic.
