Not sure if you’ve heard, but PMA is just around the corner. You know — that camera show? At any rate, Photo Rumors has a trio of new leaks to swoon over this fine evening, starting with black and white (saywha?) shots of Olympus‘ supposedly forthcoming SP800 (or SP-800UZ, if we’re talking specifics). The megazoom shooter is said to boast a 30x optical zoom, 14 megapixel sensor and image stabilization, though no further details have been let loose just let. Moving on, Fujifilm seems to have a whole gaggle of …

While third party publishers are having trouble selling in big numbers on the Wii EA has found a series that moves on Nintendo’s systems. The MySims games are plenty popular and when a series gets popular leave it to mega-publishers like EA to milk it over and over. While this news might not interest most on Dtoid, it appears that EA has trademarked another title in the series. The Sims (MySims?) are headed for the skies!
EA filed trademarks for MySims Sky Heroes. One is in relation to “Computer game software; …

It’s been a long time coming, and it’s still coming, but you’ll finally be able to get your hands on Capcom’s MotoGP 09/10 at some point this February. The publisher recently made it known that it plans to release a demo version of the game — for the PS3 and Xbox 360 — in the “love” month before its March release.
Also of note in the announcement are details on the game’s initial two pieces of DLC, which will be priced at a mere 0 Microsoft Banana Dollars (or “free”). The …

Firefox Mobile crawled into its first pockets last night, going live on Maemo5. The mobile version retains the full awesomeness of the Awesome Bar and includes WeaveSync for keeping tabs, passwords, and bookmarks straight across desktop and mobile versions.
The Nokia N900 sports a lot of impressive unofficial achievements on its resume, like dual-booting (sort of) and playing Starcraft and Duke Nukem 3D. Now it gets the benefit of Firefox’s first o-fficial mobile version.
As mentioned above it comes with the Awesome Bar and synchronization capabilities as well as tabs, location-aware browsing …

VideoGamePriceCharts.com, a site that tracks average online prices for video games and consoles, has released its year-end report for 2009, and if you were buying and selling games speculatively (we all do that, right?), you’ll want to check it out. Okay, so maybe you weren’t picking up the now-discontinued Demon’s Souls Deluxe Edition because you hoped it would get rare, but if so, you’re in luck: That game topped the list, raising in value from an MSRP of $69.99 up to a high of $116. Grand Theft Auto IV’s Lost …

I don’t use emulators almost every day. If I did, and I’m not saying that I do, I would try to make the experience as similar to the original. In the case of emulating the Atari 2600, this little jobber would likely be my go-to. That is, if I used emulators. Which I don’t.
The Clear Classic USB Joystick promises to give you all the flashiness of modern peripheral design (complete with blue LEDs!) without sacrificing the discomfort that only comes from wrenching around an original 2600 controller. If you like, …

Man, Adobe is not letting up here. In addition to releasing a terse, carefully worded response to the Apple iPad’s apparent lack of Flash, the official Flash Blog took a much more truculent approach. Exhibit A: a post entitled “The iPad provides the ultimate browsing experience?” followed by several mockups of sites laden with the infamous Blue Lego Block of Ambiguity[TM]. Adding to the conversation in the comments, platform evangelist Lee Brimelow accuses Apple of not wanting the Flash player to succeed, and that the company’s tried to work with …

Q Entertainment is gauging fan interest in a PS3 version Rez HD. “What would a game like Rez HD sell for on PSN?” the studio asked via its Twitter account. “$15?”
“This is no indication that it’s happening, but we’re researching if it’s feasible,” the tweet continued, making sure the media and others didn’t take the question as a confirmation of Q Entertainment’s plans.
In a conversation with 1UP, Q Entertainment’s James Mielke said the studio would only do the project if there’s enough demand — and not just the financial kind.
“We’re …

The folks at the national Ignition Facility decided to demonstrate fusion by focusing the energy of 192 super powerful lasers onto a tiny target. They certainly proved their concept by producing a one megajoule laser shot. Yeah, that’s pretty powerful.
This demonstration is being proclaimed as a “key step towards nuclear fusion” by the National Nuclear Security Administration. After all, this is apparently the first time such a level of laser energy was reached. More experiments will occur in the summer of this year, but you can start with the pewpew …

If you say “iPad” to Fujitsu PR director Masahiro Yamane, he doesn’t think about Apple. No, the only thing that comes to mind is Fujitsu’s Windows CE-based iPad, from 2002. And soon, lawyers. Lot of lawyers. [NYT via DigitalDaily]
