See, it looks great. I’m not talking visuals, though they are better than I would have expected. No, I’m talking about the gameplay shown in the trailer. A multi-player hunting game is a good idea but I am far more interested in the bit about making your own TV show. That looks like it would be fun as hell with a second person. It would be like a cooperative Pokémon Snap with headshots.

The Zombie Apocalypse is the new World War II, and has been for a while now when it comes to games. But most, if not all zombie games to date have mostly focused on just killing them in droves. Few have actually thought about surviving in a world full of shambling undead. Until Dead State, that is.

Well, this is sad and unexpected: Microsoft’s Major Nelson just announced that Xbox Live Gold will be getting more expensive in the US, UK, Canada, and Mexico starting November 1. A single month will go from $7.99 to $9.99, three months will go from $19.99 to $24.99, and the yearly sub will now be $59.99, up from $49.99. Yes, it’s super lame, but to make up for it Microsoft’s running a quickie “lock in” promo for a discounted $40 one-year Gold sub starting November 1 — a nice deal if …

Fujitsu‘s announced a new laptop, the Lifebook AH530 GFX. An update to the already available Lifebook AH530, this one’s got an external graphics card with 1GB of dedicated video memory. There is a huge untapped market for console manufacturers: China. While Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo struggle to deal with Chinese government regulations, one company is seeking to create a new console specifically for the territory. Lenovo is prepping the “eBox,” a new console that has Kinect-esque functionality in mind. With 120 million families as “potential buyers” in China, it’s certainly a lucrative opportunity for the company to pursue.
