It was a short, technical difficulties packed week for us on Destructoid (the show), but we managed to have a good time of it anyway. More importantly, we managed to answer a lot of your most burning questions.  How scary is Catherine? How Swabe is Mr. Swabe? Where exactly is Moscow? Develop posted a short Q&A with BioWare’s Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk. In case you wondered, they were doctors at a hospital before they started to devote all their time on BioWare.
Their favorite games were Wasteland, a “precursor to the Fallout stuff”, and the first System Shock. An open world RPG and a rich 3D shooter with RPG elements set in Citadel Station? No wonder BioWare ended up with Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
When asked about what disappoints him the most, Muzyka thinks there are “too many games …

Zynga and Disney-owned Playdom have reportedly reached a settlement in their 2009 legal dispute over an alleged conspiracy by Playdom to hire Zynga employees and retrieve Zynga’s “playbook” — a book Zynga described as “the company’s key and collective efforts to develop and fit games to the social networking platform in the most successful manner … It is a ‘how-to’ manual that belongs to Zynga.” Next-Gen.biz confirmed the settlement with Zynga, though neither Disney nor Zynga provided details of the arrangement.
Zynga did, however, issue a statement stating that it’s “extremely …

Quantum anything has typically fallen into our oft-used category of ‘awesome things that’ll never happen,’ but if a crew of researchers at the California Institute of Technology have anything to say about it, they’ll soon be changing the fortunes of that segment. The team has recently demonstrated quantum entanglement for a quantum state stored in four spatially distinct atomic memories, and while that probably just blew your mind a little bit, the breakdown is fairly interesting. Essentially, they’ve uncovered a quantum interface between the atomic memories, which is said to …
