Last week, I attended a THQ event for some of their upcoming games. Initially, I thought I was going to be looking at a game about drawing pictures. I used to go to picture-drawing school, and because of this, people frequently make me do artsy-fartsy stuff. When I arrived at the event, plans miraculously changed and I got to write about dirt bikes instead.
Hamza asked me, “How do you feel about previewing MX Vs. ATV: Alive?” I said I didn’t know what that was, and he said “It’s about driving …

Have you heard of a little title called Portal 2? The latest from up-and-comer Valve Software gets the special treatment this week. All three of the guys solved it and are letting the spoilers fly in Spoiled Rotten, so stick around after Bob Ball wraps the regular show.
Also, these stories aren’t big deals or anything, but all PSN users’ personal information has been compromised, and the next Nintendo console will be officially unveiled and playable at E3. Y’know, it’s been a totally normal news week.

Can’t see the video? Click here

We already established that Jedi Knights are the Night Elves of Star Wars: The Old Republic in a previous Jedi class progression video, and now it’s time to take a look at the progression of the Sith Warrior classes.
The Sith Warrior can choose between becoming a Marauder or Juggernaut, and depending on your progression choices it turns out that different armors will be available to you. The Marauder can look like Darth Maul or a mix between Hellraiser‘s Pinhead and a guy in a Crysis suit. …

Sure, we’ll never see dreams of a 3D Cisco Flip realized, but Sony’s offering the next best thing: the Bloggie 3D. The latest addition to the company’s line of pocket camcorders was quietly made available this week for $249.99 a pop — $80 more than the recently released Bloggie Duo HD, because extra dimensions ain’t cheap. The camera takes a cue from Nintendo’s latest portable, with a 2.4 inch 3D display that eschews the need for glasses. Or, if you’re not in the mood to squint and don’t mind the …

Amazon’s dropped the price of popular new tracks on its online store to 69 cents, compared to its usual 89 cent pricepoint. (Best joke in the comments wins respect; terrible puns will be met with serious scorn.) More »

Jackie Estacado is an indestructible demigod. At least that’s what the early stages of a recent demo for The Darkness 2 taught me about the game’s main character. After unnamed assailants quite literally crash the dinner he had just sat down to eat — subsequently murdering the erotic dancers he’s dining with, of course — Jackie’s hurt pretty badly. His right foot is clearly mangled from the explosion, and soon enough he’s being dragged to safety by a fellow mobster, all the while shooting at foes in pursuit.
Thankfully for Jackie …

Stomping in alien faces underneath the surface of Mars is going to have to wait. THQ has announced that it’s delayed Red Faction: Armageddon. No huge deal, though, it’s only by about a week — the game will now ship on June 10 internationally, instead of the end of may as originally planned.
As previously reported, you can get your Armageddon on a bit sooner with a demo hitting Xbox Live and PlayStation Network next week.
“The Red Faction: Armageddon demo is also scheduled to be available on the PlayStation …

At last, Barnes and Noble is defending itself against the Microsoft lawsuit filed back in March claiming that B&N’s Android-based “e-reader and tablet devices” are infringing upon Microsoft’s IP. A portfolio strengthened significantly thanks to that little Nokia partnership. We’re not going to pick apart B&N’s filing in detail. However, we’d like to focus on this little nugget of FUD asserted by Barnes and Noble’s legal team:

On information and belief, Microsoft intends to take and has taken definite steps towards making competing operating systems such as the Android Operating System …
