[Destructoid's Director of Communications Hamza Aziz asked Jonathan Holmes to make a show called 'Sup Holmes?' so that Destructoid could later sell a t-shirt that says 'Sup Holmes?' on it. This is that show. Download the audio-only podcast version of this episode or subscribe to the podcast feed. Find more episodes here.]
This weekend’s Sup Holmes? was a strange meandering treat. Still clad in my boxing referee uniform, I got home just in time to get the show rolling with Brian Provinciano, developer of the upcoming XBLA/PSN/WiiWare/Steam/PS Vita title Retro City Rampage. That combination of excitement …

We’ve seen Sony’s own tips and tricks for the Vita, but as the device ages (six days old already!) more and more will appear, as Pocket Gamer shows with its tutorial that explains how to renew trophy-earning functionality in used Vita games.
Upon booting up a pre-owned Vita title, players will get a screen that reads, “You cannot earn trophies in this application. Only the first player to use an application can earn trophies. To earn trophies, you must link the Sony Entertainment Network account of the first player to …

The Lord of the Rings Online: Mithril Edition is now available exclusively from GameStop in stores and online. This $29.99 boxed copy includes an exclusive “Steed of the Horse-lords” mount, the “Path of the Fellowship” quest pack, and 2,000 Turbine points. Buying each of those items from the LotRO store would cost over $50. It’s a pretty sweet-looking package if you are looking to join in.
The game is still free to play, and in my opinion, it’s a better MMO than World of Warcraft. WoW is constantly becoming more and …

Sierra Wireless just announced a new 76xS range of AirCard mobile hotspots. Thanks to expanded frequency band support (LTE 1800/2100/2600 MHz, HSPA+ 850/900/2100 MHz and 800/900/2100), the new cards will be compatible with more international markets, and are set to launch in the US, Australia, Asia and Europe over the coming months. There’s support for up to ten WiFi devices, and a 2,000 mAh battery — which Sierra claims brings a 30 percent boost in life — upgradeable to an even juicier 3,600 mAh option via an additional accessory …

The wacky rail shooter, Gal Gun has finally made its way to Japanese shelves on PS3, more than a year after the Xbox 360 release. Since the game has shown up so late to the party, it has decided to bring a few tantalizing gifts. Well, maybe not gifts since it’s DLC –but who knows, perhaps it’s free? The content due on March 1st, includes some swimsuits, bunny outfits, a nurses uniform, as well as other moe essentials.
For those uninitiated in the ways of the Gal Gun, the game is basically a mixture …

SEGA Japan has opened up an official site for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2, and filled it with juicy screenshots for you to gawp at like a big bloody idiot. If you hate official websites, however, don’t worry. We have the images in our own gallery.
It’s looking quite saucy, although I hate the presence of so much water. In all honestly, who has ever loved water levels? I can only imagine fish enjoying such horrible stages, and we can all agree that fish lack the physical traits required to …

We may have strange taste in mates, but we don’t think the above pickup lines from comedy group Simple Pickup are all that bad.
In reality they’re terrible, of course, but as far as “subliminally inserting video game titles into pickup lines for random university girls” goes, the guys above do a pretty good job of things. They’re even slightly successful — maybe not “sticking my thing in her Portal” successful, but still. Numbers were received.
We’re not saying this is a challenge, but we challenge you to use these in …

I’ve still not played Dark Souls yet, the main reason being that I haven’t even finished Demon’s Souls. I could probably finish the rest in a weekend, but I simply get too exasperated with my own ineptitude that it takes all of my strength not to bludgeon myself to death with the controller.
When I do finally get round to picking it up, I’m sure I won’t be able to survive without at least a wee bit of help. But I’m not simply bad at these games; I’m also incredibly lazy. …
