Sup Holmes burns bright with Jasper Byrne

The last time we had Jasper Byrne on Sup Holmes, he had just released his critically acclaimed survival horror title Lone Survivor. Like his Silent Hill 2 remake Soundless Mountain II, Jasper made Lone Survivor largely on his own. Unlike Soundless Mountain II, Lone Survivor was that you could pay for, which was something Jasper was not used to. Now Lone Survivor is headed to the PS3 and the PS Vita, which likely …

CounterSpy takes inspiration from classic side-scrollers

The first thing you’ll notice about CounterSpy is its unique art style. Really, you can say that about a lot of the indie titles Sony has been picking up lately, but there’s something extra special about this one. That probably has to do with the fact that the ten-man team at Dynamighty is comprised of ex-LucasArts and Pixar folks.

You guys, there are HOLOGRAPHIC Steam trading cards

Do you remember your first holographic Pokemon card? I do, it was a Dewgong. I loved that card; it meant so much to me. In an apparent attempt to capture that same feeling, Valve has introduced Foil cards to its new line of Steam trading cards.
These cards are being sold anywhere from $10 to $70 on the Community Market. It doesn’t seem as if people are actually buying them at the higher-end prices, but that hasn’t stopped people from selling them. Protip: don’t buy these for high prices, the prices will …

Review: Dust 514

Dust 514 is one of the most ambitious games of all time. Not content with just offering a shooter within the EVE Online universe, CCP Games seeks to actually connect the game to EVE itself, allowing both titles to influence each other in a huge way. It’s a major undertaking, and something that was immediately noticed from the very start of the project — if successful, it could very well change the way we look at gaming.
There’s only one problem: it needs a ton of work before it gets there.

What Online Scams Would Look Like If They Were Real People

When we see Nigerian princes or weird links or invasive people who want to much personal information pop up in our e-mail inbox, we immediately know that they’re scams. It’s part of the Internet.
